PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST

The FITNESSGRAM also known as the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) was developed to help protect against diseases that can occur from an inactive lifestyle. Students are tested in fifth, seventh, and ninth grade. The goal of the physical fitness test is to motivate students acquire a healthier way of life. The PFT is usually administered in May. Throughout the school year students prepare for each exercise by participating in P.E. However, we highly encourage students to also practice at home when possible. Please note that students will need a doctors note if they are unable to participate in the assessment.

The FITNESSGRAM assesses the following areas:

*Abdominal Strength and Endurance (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLA_9kx1AkY)
