Longfellow Elementary is in its first official year of becoming a Community School. A community school brings together schools, families, and communities to support the whole child. Community schools are proven to increase attendance, improve behavior, and increase family engagement and participation. In addition, community schools promote collaborative leadership between all stakeholder groups. In other words, it is a model that ensures that all students have the resources they need to be successful.
